Orion's song

(One of a few versions)

Written 2012.

Weary eyes, oh weary eyes

They once were shining bright

Well Orion's got his bow out

Takin' aim at the moon tonight

He let his arrow fire

But his heart got in the way

And it tumbled down

Burning to the ground

And landed in my coffee cup

So I drank it up

I drank it all up

Then my eyes rained tears of stardust

So now aether stains my cheeks

Orion's all alone tonight

But I am finally free

And weary eyes, oh weary eyes

They once were shining bright

I know your yellow bird's flown and left you, love

Left you without your sight

your yellow bird has left you now

Yeah she's taken her last flight
